Cinnamon Sugar Roasted Almonds
My favorite gifts to give are those I've made in my kitchen, especially this time of year. I love putting love into my recipe creations and this is one that almost everyone loves. Not to mention the amazing smell that lingers in my house for a day or two after. This recipe is super easy and most ingredients you most likely have.
This is one of those sweet treats that always gets so much attention at parties, so delicious and pop-able!
Ingredients:
4 cups whole almonds
1 large egg white
1 tbsp pure vanilla extract
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1/2 cup light brown sugar (packed)
2 tsp ground cinnamon
1/4 tsp salt
How to:
Preheat your oven to 250 degrees.
Take large sheet pan and place parchment paper on top.
In a medium sized bowl beat with a mixer egg white and the vanilla until creamy in appearance.
Add almonds to the mixing bowl and toss to coat evenly.
Place both sugars, cinnamon, and salt into a large bowl and give a quick mix.
Pour coated almonds into large bowl and fold till coated completely.
Spread coated almonds in a single layer on the baking sheet and bake for 1 hour, tossing every 15 mins for a total of 3 times.
Remove from oven and allow to cool completely.
Store in an air-tight container.
These are great to divide into baggies, add to a decorative container, or set out in a bowl for hungry holiday guests.
