Weekend Recap: NYC
Chris (my husband) come home this past week after being gone for about 3 months- let's be real, he has been gone away at training for the majority of the year, and said to me, "Let's go to New York this weekend." So I packed my bags and we headed out after class on Friday. Arriving early Friday evening we got to enjoy the best of the weekend here in NYC. I haven't been in NYC since 2002 with my mother, shortly after the world trade center bombings. We visited many places my favorite being Strawberry Fields on my visit with her. This time around my favorite place was Central Park (pictured above) hands down! Everyone was out running, walking, and enjoying the cool brisk morning in the sun. We walked around on Saturday for about 9 hours, just enjoying the sights, food, coffee, and views. I'm sharing some awesome eats that I enjoyed below along with some fun spots we visited.
Chicken + brussels salad from Sweet Green. This salad was the BEST salad I've had at a restaurant in a VERY long time. It weighed easily 7 lbs. So amazing & kept me full all afternoon.
Rainbow bagel + birthday cake cream cheese from Liberty Bagels. Such amazing coloring, I wasn't in love with the cream cheese frosting- a bit too sweet for my liking, but beautiful none the less.
Cinnamon Roll from Breads Bakery, light & buttery sweetened with cinnamon & sugar.
Shani's BLT from Bar Bacon in Hell's Kitchen, amazing smoked bacon.
The Met- we didn't have time to visit, but we will be back and will be sure to go.
Me with Naked Adam at North Columbus Circle, I didn't get to snap a photo with Eve, but none the less I enjoyed the enormity of this exhibit.
Hubs & I in front Avenue of the America's. They are busting out their holiday decor all over the place! Definitely loved that.
Cinnamon Roll from Two Red Hens, impressed & slightly confused. This cinnamon roll dough was very delicious, but different than anything I've ever had before and also confused as there were like 2 raisins inside.... like were they supposed to be in there? Did they fall in the batter? Were they even raisins? lol.
