Candied Pecans
Are you looking for an awesome treat or side to bring to a holiday party that is promised to be a hit? Candied nuts are always a WIN, given there's no nuts allergies. Make sure of this beforehand. Candied nuts are a great source of healthy fats and protein and offer a different variety of crunchy snack to that table. These are also a great homemade gift idea to share with others or even for that person you may not know that well in the office or around the corner. This recipe is a single batch, often for parties I make 4-5 batches to ensure there's enough to go around. Once you start popping these bad boys there's no going back.
Ingredients:
1 cup raw pecans
1 1/2 Tbsp pure maple syrup
1 Tbsp Domino Cinnamon 'n Sugar
How to:
Preheat oven to 320 degrees & line a baking sheet with parchment paper, easy clean up!
Add all ingredients to a medium bowl and toss until throughly coated.
Place in heated oven for 20-30 mins tossing once halfway through.
Remove from oven and allow to cool and enjoy!
Store remaining candied pecans in an airtight container. I like to add them to a decorative glass container to give as easy gifts for neighbors, letter carriers, kids' teachers, etc. Happy Holidays all!
